Safety for everyone

You can ask for help.

CompositeBid helps people discuss composite manufacturing. Harmful behaviour is not allowed, even in a private conversation. You do not have to reply to a message that upsets you. If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services; this site is not an emergency service.

If you are under 18

  1. 1. Pause

Stop replying. Do not share your address, passwords, personal contact details or private pictures.

  2. 2. Report

Use Report beside the message, or our concern form. You do not need to know a law or copy upsetting words.

  3. 3. Tell someone safe

Ask a trusted adult for help if you can. You can still report even if you do not want to talk to the sender.

How do I report something?

Open the conversation, choose Report beside the message, pick a reason and describe the concern briefly. For an interest, listing, profile or anything else, use Report a concern and include its reference. Anyone can use that form without an account.

What happens next?

We review the concern. We can hide harmful content or restrict an account. Evidence remains private for the review. We normally do not tell the sender who reported them, but limited disclosure may be needed for a fair review or a legal duty. A complaint gives you an on-screen receipt. You can choose no complaint messages and ask us for an update yourself.

What if I think a decision is wrong?

Use the same concern form, select the review/appeal box and give the reference and your reasons. You can ask a trusted adult to help. We record the review and correct wrong decisions where appropriate.

For parents and carers

Children can technically access CompositeBid, including personal-purpose Small Projects. We do not claim age assurance. Messaging is text-only and limited to an approved opportunity’s participants; it is not a general social network. These limits do not remove all risk. You can report on a child’s behalf without sharing medical details, a full date of birth or unnecessary identifying information. Explain any support or accessibility needs in plain language.
